East Coast Tour Canceled

Singer/songwriter Mark Lanegan was injured in a car accident in Los Angeles last night, forcing the cancellation of seven upcoming East Coast tour dates. Lanegan was not at fault and was not seriously hurt, but is under doctor's orders to rest for several weeks, his spokesperson tells Billboard.com.

The artist is expected to return to the road Oct. 10 in San Diego, with dates on tap through an Oct. 26 performance in Brussels. The former Screaming Trees/Queens Of The Stone Age vocalist is touring in support of his new Beggars Banquet album, "Bubblegum," which reached No. 39 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart last month.
