I must to start saying it was a magic night. I think that he opens the show with Pendulum and the atmosphere was incredible since the beginning. Mark had the voice perfect and he gave us the best of him. Mark gets on well with his band, they are great musicians really everyone with his own personality proving what the music must to be.

It´s dificult to me to choose the highest momment in the night but I loved how sang Borracho, Because of this, No easy action ¡ what I´m saying! every song was a wonderfull and misterius world that trapped me and I was happy all the time, smiling, crying, I can believe that only a man can be able to make me fell all this things.

If you want I´ll send you photographs, tickets and set list of the show. We are in lucky. We have Mark Lanegan music and it´s wonderfull.

Greetings.

Pedro.

The only word I can use to describe Mark Lanegan’s show in Vitoria is GREAT. Everything was great: his voice, the band, the audience reaction,… Just impressive.

The show started with Pendulum and Borracho. The rest of the set list was (in no order and maybe incomplete) One way street, I’ll take care of you, Bell Black Ocean, No easy action and Miracle, Hotel, Don’t forget me, Mockingbirds, The winding sheet and Because of this, On Jesus program, Creeping coastline of lights, The river rise, Fix, She done too much, Gospel Plow and Pill Hill serenade. I would point up No easy action (I think that is one of those songs that sound even better when played live), Borracho, Because of this, Don’t forget me, Hotel, … all of them, actually. And, as a fan of Screaming Trees, it was really touching hearing Gospel Plow.

After one of the first songs, he said “Thank you”, and somebody in the audience shouted “No, thank YOU”, and he replied “No, you”. He also said “Thank you, we appreciate it” a couple of times. I think he was having a good time. When he introduced the band, everybody recognized the great job they have done during the show.

He had to do THREE encores. The second time they came back they just played two songs, and the last one they only played Pill Hill serenade. Mike looked like being annoyed for having to came back again.

And regarding to Mike Johnson, I just knew four or five of his songs before the show, but I really liked his performance, and I am going to look for his albums. Splitsville were also announced, but they didn’t play.

A couple of hours after the show, Jaime, one of my friends, asked Gene to come back soon. And he replied “We will. Muchas gracias”. I can’t wait!
