Mark Lanegan Band – Beehive

Grizzled rock veteran Mark Lanegan and his Mark Lanegan Band are coming back next month with the new album Gargoyle, which features contributions from old Lanegan confederates like Josh Homme and Greg Dulli. We’ve posted lead single “Nocturne,” and now we get to hear the huge, surging new song “Beehive.” Compared to the wizened post-blues that Lanegan usually makes these days, this one is a relatively straightforward riff-rocker, one with a huge melody that recalls Lanegan’s Screaming Trees days. It’s also a grand and catchy and anthemic rock song, the type they don’t make very often anymore. I very much recommend clicking play below.
